Cameras catch animal house robbery, search for suspect

LORAIN, Ohio - When Crystal Luli arrived six hours early to work Saturday, it wasn't for an early morning holiday special.

The Animal House had been robbed.

Surveillance cameras at the animal house on North Ridge Road recorded the burglary.

“I saw someone bust in the window, the grooming door and they ran directly to the cash register” said Luli.

When the thief broke through this glass door, one of three alarms were tripped - signaling Luli's security service and Lorain County Deputies, stationed just minutes away.

The thief made off with several hundred dollars before the deputies could arrive.

Crystal Luli believes the culprit was someone who was employed at the shelter before.

 She shared her concerns with Lorain County Deputies, who are investigating the case.
